First Strokes is an art studio that provides art lessons for kids in elementary to middle school level. We offer students an opportunity to learn art in a fun and friendly environment. In addition to sketching, students will have the chance to  use various mediums such as crayons, oil pastels, colored pencils, charcoal, pen and ink, and watercolors. Our classes meet for an hour a week. No more than six students are in a class, so kids are guaranteed individualized attention.

As someone once said, "When you get, give, when you learn, teach." Hi, I am Sangeetha Kamath. I am an artist, a teacher, and a mother. First Strokes was born out of my passion to share my knowledge of art to the next generation.  My art is a reflection of my country, my tradition, culture, and people and places I have come across in my journey through life. I majored in Fine Arts from Stella Maris College in Chennai, India. I have five years of experience teaching art and seven years working with children. Sharing my passion brings me joy, and is an outlet to my creative spirit.
